WARRANT OF ATTACHMENT AND SALE ON FORFEITURE OF BOND FOR GOOD BEHAVIOUR

(See section 446)

To the Police Officer in charge of the police station at _________

WHEREAS _________ (name, description and address) did, on the _________ day of _________ 20 _________ give security by bond in the sum of rupees _________ for the good behaviour of _________ (name etc., of the principal), and proof has been given before me and duly recorded of the commission by the said _________ (name) of the offence of _________ whereby the said bond has been forfeited; and whereas notice has been given to the said _________ (name) calling upon him to show cause why the aid sum should not be paid, and he has failed to do so or to pay the said sum;
This is to authorise and requiring you to attach by seizure movable property belonging to the said _________ (name) to the value of rupees _________ which you may find within the district of _________, and if the said sum be not paid within _________, to sell the property so attached, or so much of it as may be sufficient to realise the same, and to make return of what you have done under this warrant immediately upon its execution.

Legal History-Administration of Justice in Bombay (1668-1726)

Story About Bombay In 1534, Portuguese acquired Bombay from Local Hindu Raja. Then Bombay was given to King Charles II as dowry in his sister's marriage to in 1661. In 1668 Bombay was given to rent to East India Company for a rent of 10  £ . By today's exchange it would be around 100 Rs. So  yes, Bombay was given on rent to East India Company for the price of 10 Vada-Pav. Administration of Bombay was subordinate to Surat back then. After renting it, company issued a charter in 1668 granting company some rights to make laws to deal with Bombay. Like Administration in Madras, development of Earlier administration could be studied in 3 stages. First Stage: 1670-1683 (Aungier Eara) During this period Bombay was subordinated to Surat. Overview of Appeal in CrPC

Introduction Here is the simplistic hierarchy of the Courts. (JMFC stands for Judicial Magistrate of First Class) Not so serious cases are tackled by Lower courts. Serious cases are tackled by Sessions court.  We humans are not Gods. Courts are presided by humans and its possible that they can make a mistake.
